End Product - BioVerm™

  • What is BioVerm ?

  • How well does Bioverm work ?

BioVerm is Vermitech's own brand of vermicompost produced by the worms through the consumption by them of organic material and minerals.

The great influencing factor on the NPK of casting is, of course, the food ingested by the worms themselves. Worms can't manufacture nutrients, only liberate them. If food is nitrogen rich, then, so too will be the castings. Products made from animal manures can be certified "organic"

Considerable anecdotal information exists on the value of vermicast. The largest users of vermicast are in Cuba and India where over 160,000 tonnes per year are used on a variety of crops.

Anecdotal results have been verified by scientific research confirming that vermicompost increases both yield and quality in a range of crops. Vermitech commissioned the University of Sydney to conduct an extensive literature search on scientific papers.

Vermitech has also carried out an extensive Research and Development (R&D) program into BioVerm. Research undertaken by recognised authorities such as The University of Sydney, CSIRO, Department of Primary Industry, Department of Natural Resources and independent growers and agronomists.

One of the primary benefits of remediating organic waste through the Vermitech System is that all the material passes through the worm gut and upon excretion is reduced to a particle size which plants can readily absorb the nutrients from. The material is also coated with millions of beneficial microbes and fluids which readily hasten plant and soil health.
